Atlantic Ocean, West Palm Beach
Well, it took me awhile to sort through photos and save the ones I thought that you might enjoy the most (yes, I’ve become a bit of a photo-nut!). I decided to share West Palm Beach, FL with you first, and then Jupiter, FL, since they are a bit different. This is as far as I could weed the photos down, so I apologize if this is stilloverload. :)

We mainly went to FL to see some Spring Training baseball games (at least, so the guys think! ;), but I was able to get them to work in a few sightseeing times, too. A lot of these pics were taken on the fly, as we saw five baseball games in one week, and often did our sightseeing after about 3 or 4 pm. The fountain above is in the center of Palm Beach, near the Worth Ave. shopping district.
Episcopal Church of Bethesda-By-The-Sea
This is Bethesda-By-The-Sea Episcopal Church, which is right next to The Breakers Hotel near Ocean Drive. I love church architecture, and I absolutely fell in love with this church. It reminds me a great deal of the Presbyterian church where I grew up. My older son later told me that this is the church where Donald Trump married a few years ago.

It was built in the late 20s, and I love the gothic architecture and attention to detail.

The church courtyard reminded me a lot of the scenes of the convent in The Sound of Music.

The other church that stole my heart was St Edward’s Catholic Church. It was built during the same time period as the church above and is in the Spanish Renaissance style.

The Rectory is especially pretty…

Palm Beach is known for its beautiful residences, and my only problem was in choosing just a few to photograph (again, mostly in limited time and on the go).

“Southways” is a well-known home right off Ocean Drive.

Don’t you love the floral vines and landscaping, the brick driveways, and all of the color?

Palm Beach is also known for its shopping, especially around theWorth Avenue area. We just window shopped and browsed on this trip, which was fun in itself. I enjoyed visiting the shop of one of my favorite Memphis designers, William Eubanks, who also has a business in Palm Beach.

There are beautiful and some unique shops all through this area.

Our last night in town, we drove to Lantana (one of the smaller towns just down A1A from Palm Beach) to one of our favorite restaurants, The Old Key Lime House. It is always very busy, very good, and fun! We love watching the birds and boats while eating and visiting.

It was so hard to leave…I could look at sunsets like this forever!

I hope that you enjoyed visiting the Palm Beach area with us.
